The In-Between, the Pause, & Where We Are Now

The In-Between, the Pause, & Where We Are Now
Who do you want to be…?

As the world as I have known it is dismantled, and as my life as I’ve lived it transforms into something else, one question has been popping into my mind for a couple of years now, guiding my actions and decisions: Who do I want to be, as I create the world I want to live in?

I’ve been living in the question mark without consciously knowing what the actual question was for some time now. The unknown question mark was my ‘in-between.’ It was my ‘pause.’ The fully formed question is now becoming something tangible I can work with.

The world I want to live in is one where people know how take care of themselves and each other. Where the Earth herself is healthy, vibrant, and honored. Where children and those in need are centered. Where compassion and generosity are the norm.

Who I want to be is someone who empowers others. Who reminds others of their innate beauty and sacredness. Who remembers that we are all intricately and inherently connected.

I have always wanted to help others become fully who they were born to be. This desire has informed every aspect of my work, through all its iterations.

My mantra throughout my 40+ years of healing and intuitive work has been that I am not the ‘healer;’ I simply help my clients remember, on some level, that they have the healing ability within themselves. I always send them from a session with something they can do on their own.

But helping one person at a time has felt soooooo slow. If the world I want to live in is one where people know how to take care of themselves and each other, I am inspired to share my knowledge and experience more widely.

I have recently begun creating short videos that I share on social media and on my YouTube channel. Each video teaches the viewer how to do one easy, quick self-care exercise. These are the same techniques that I share with my clients, and I know how effective they can be.

That said, not every technique works for everyone. And not every technique works for anyone forever. As we heal and integrate and evolve, our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs change. I’ve learned this through my own healing journey and in witnessing the healing of my clients. And that’s why I’m sharing as many techniques and tools as I can think of.

Right now, my YouTube channel has 2 videos (3 minutes or longer) and 4 shorts (up to 3 minutes long). The idea is that I’ll share at least one new video a week. Through this, my long-term goal is to help people help themselves.

I invite you visit my channel, try some (or all) of the exercises yourself, and keep coming back for more self-care. Subscribe if you’d like to know when new videos are posted. All of this is free, my gift to you. And feel free to share with others you think might find these helpful:

Navigating The Pause

I’ve been feeling a bit low the past couple of weeks. There doesn’t seem to be any specific reason for this ‘downness,’ yet here I am. And it’s not the same texture of ‘down’ as dealing with world events, family or financial issues, the weather, or any of the outer events that affect all of us.

You may remember that the first few months of the year I explored The In-Between, that place where women midlife and beyond find themselves when they realize they’re no longer who they used to be but are not yet who they are becoming.

The In-Between journey was in my face, a bit anxiety-producing, irritating, and confounding. This feels more internal, transformative, shadowy, initiatory.

I gratefully got myself through The In-Between. That evolution led me here, and it has deepened - I’m in the process of crossing the threshold from Previous Me to Imminent Me. I now find myself in The Pause.

This has a similar texture to The In-Between, but The Pause feels deeper, richer, more challenging, yet with more potential.

Having made it through 20’ish years of perimenopause and menopause, I’m almost completely postmenopausal.

And is it a coincidence that ‘pause’ makes up a portion of each of those words?

This postmenopausal Pause is different than anything I’ve experienced so far. And I’m going to take some time delving into it, researching it, exploring it, communicating with it, learning from it.

I invite you to join me on this new passage.

With love,
Betz

Something New Is Available

Something new is available to you.

I've been quietly developing something — and it's ready to be shared.

Two offerings. Both discounted while I deepen my practice. Both designed to meet your body, your energy, and your nervous system exactly where they are.

Oracle Card Readings
I'm learning a new deck — and its language is precise, layered, and honest in ways that keep surprising me. These readings are intuitive, rooted, and offered while I deepen my relationship with this particular medicine.
Regularly $222  ·  $97 while I'm in learning
ICRM Sessions — Integrated Coherent Resonance Method
This is my own healing framework, done remotely — woven from nervous system regulation, vagus nerve activation, cranio-sacral integration, spinal flow, and energy medicine. It's gentle. It's somatic. It works with your body's own intelligence, not against it.

If you've felt the dysregulation in your body - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually - but haven't found the right doorway in ... this may be it.
Regularly $147  ·  $77 during this introductory phase

Your body knows how to heal.
Sometimes it just needs a witness
— and the right conditions.

Both of these are intimate offerings. If something in you is leaning forward, trust that.

If interested in either offering, contact me directly to schedule or for more information.

If You Feel Like You Don’t Quite Know Who You Are Right Now

If you’ve been feeling a little unsteady lately, I want you to know this:
You’re not who you were.
And you’re not yet who you’re becoming.

That in-between space can feel lonely, disorienting, even unsettling — especially if you’ve spent much of your life being capable, clear, and responsible.

But this isn’t confusion.
 It’s transition.

Something honest has already ended.
And now your system is learning how to stand without it.

Nothing has gone wrong.
 You’re simply in a passage.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

The Sanctuary is now open.

Ch- Ch- Ch- Changes!

Ch- Ch- Ch- Changes!

It has been a LONG time since I've written a blog post - a year and a half, to be exact. So first of all, a very warm welcome to all of you who are new here! (You're here because you've worked with me, requested information via my website, or entered a drawing at an event. You can always unsubscribe if what I share doesn't resonate, but I sure hope you choose to stick around!) And to all, thanks for sticking around!

Frank and I just got back from a 3-week trip to points west. We went to Iowa first to my all-school reunion - had a blast seeing old friends. Then spent a few days with my brother in NW IA - our last night there we were gifted with the most magical and longest lasting double rainbow I've ever seen. From there we drove to WA state to meet my sister and her family for the first time, along with my youngest daughter and her family. We were treated like royalty and had the BEST time! Stayed right on the water on Birch Bay and witnessed richly saturated sunsets, spent a day in Canada, spent a day with NC friends who had moved (back) to Friendly Harbor, saw an Orca whale in the Sound, and oh so much more. We put 6,000 miles on the car (and on our butts!) and arrived home 4 days ago thoroughly exhausted and completely happy.

Oh, and one more thing ... we've become great-grandparents! Veronica Sylvie Anderson was born on July 11, and even though I've not yet met her in person (that will be in October), I am completely in love!

And other than driving around the country and growing my family, what have I been up to? I've been designing classes, 3- and 6-month programs, a universal healing meditation, even a year-long certification program. Still seeing coaching & mentorship clients, still doing energy work and readings ... just also taking time to put into place what's been coming through for the past few months. There is soooo much going in the world and in our lives, and I'm creating ways to be with and rise above the chaos.

Radical Self-Care in Challenging Times
A 4-week class, Wednesdays starting August 13
7:00 pm ET, via Zoom

Much of our lives can feel uncertain, some days more so than others. But it’s safe to say that the days we currently find ourselves living through are the most challenging in a generation, if not longer.

The news of daily events bombards us like a firehose. We find ourselves disconnected from the ones we love, either through distance or belief. Our communications mostly consist of a few typed words via text or message board. We are preoccupied with social media, doom-scrolling in an effort to keep up with what’s going on around us. We feel lost, ungrounded, and unsure of what to do. All of this contributes to feelings of worry, anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, grief.

But there are easy, simple ways to rise above these challenging emotions. In this class, we will explore and practice no-cost ways to regulate your nervous system, reset your day, release these uncomfortable and health-diminishing feelings, and replace them with peace, comfort, joy, even bliss.

Betz will lead participants in simple exercises such as self-energy healing techniques, breathwork, somatic movement, and Vagus nerve exercises that can be done at home on your own, as well as suggestions for activities that you can share with friends and family. Every participant will receive handouts and Powerpoint slides of the information shared in class, as well as downloadable audio meditations and exercises.

“Betz is a phenomenal teacher! Those of us who have had the privilege know she has insight, experience, compassion and understandings beyond many. And she’s great fun to be around too!
~Cheryle Pope, O.M., M.Ed.

$111 (20% discount for veterans, active military, first responders, educators, & health care practitioners; ask about payment plans if needed.)
